Chezhian College of Education runs by Chezhian Educational Charitable Trust Thenpallipattu (Regd No. 217of 2001), is founded by Thiru R. ElanChezhian BE, Chairman started functioning from the academic year 2005-2006. To start with, it was affiliated to Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore. with the inauguration of a separate Educational University in the name of “Tamilnadu Teachers Education University” Chennai in the year 2008, now it stands affiliated to the same.
This Higher Educational Institutions is now offering B.Ed in the Optional subject., Tamil,English, Maths,Physical Sciences, Bio-logical sciences and History, right from its inception. It has also introduced Computer Science Optional from the academic year 2010-11. Another milestone in the history of the Chezhian is the introduction of PG course in Education i.e. M.Ed., being offered from 2010- 11.
Having completed 09 academic years successfully this institution Assessed and Accredited by NAAC (National Assessment And Accreditation Council) for a period of five years with a CGPA of 2.50 on a four point scale at B Grade valid from 27/03/2011. It is matter of pride that Chezhian is the first College of education in Thiruvannamalai District to Be Assessed Accredited by NAAC.
